the long version
I was born in 1980 in a small town north of Seattle called Snohomish. I'll leave the pronunciation up to you, but regardless of what you come up with, know I was ready to leave the town by the time I turned 21 (dropping out of college - twice - does that to people). I joined the Air Force as a broadcast journalist in 2001 and since then have been blessed to tell the Air Force story from all 7 continents.
I married my beautiful (and I mean absolutely gorgeous) wife Stephanie in 2008. She's better than me in every way and I am completely OK with that. I'm not sure she is, but again, I'm OK with that. Today we live in Adana, Turkey and are enjoying the Mediterranean life. We spend as much time as we can in the local community and hope to see most of Turkey by the time we leave. If you want to keep up with what we're doing, you can follow our blog at Wherever We May Be.
I decided to return to college in 2006 (3rd times a charm, right?). I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a BA in Christian Studies and then began working on a MA in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall. I finished that in March 2012. I'm done with the college thing, but I love to learn and have an odd addiction to books. I'm also a habitual dabbler. I dabble in photography, web design, videography and anything else that sparks my interest. I even tried to learn the guitar once. I still can't play.
This website is an opportunity to share what I've dabbled in and what I've learned through life, books and the people I work with everyday. I hope you find it interesting. If not, meh.
