Well said.

I find it interesting that the people who most attack Harry Potter are ones who have never read any of the books. I am reminded of when I was in Campbell, I was and still am a big Buffy teh Vampire Slayer fan. My co-worker insisted that the series was bad because of the witchcraft, yet he would wax poetic about the Lord fo teh Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia. I told him to watch a few episodes and he would see they are on par with both series. I also remember when Dogma came out and there was a huge uproar from Catholics over this movie. Regardless fo the fact that Kevin Smit is Catholic, they were just goingto be pissed. So here Michal and I are at the theater and in teh front row are two little old ladies with notepads. They start watching and I watch them. Five minutes into it, they are laughing and enjoying the movie.

The new HP movie is definately a departure fromt eh earliers ones as is the book. More grownup and more in your face Harry has his back to the wall and he has to decide what he is going to do. He can't really rely in anyone and you see this becoming more and more apparent the series. Have you finished HP7 yet?
