Hands down, it was and is the best movie of this year, maybe the best comic book movie to-date. That's a good observation about Heath in that his performance was so believable and amazing that it really contrasted with the "good" performances of everyone else. I never saw Heath Ledger in this movie, I only saw The Joker, but I did see Christian Bale acting as the Batman and I did see Aaron Eckhart acting as Harvey Dent, and that to me was a little distracting. I bought into The Joker, he was it for me, he made the movie; when an actor can immerse himself so much into a character (maybe too much) to the point where I forget about the actor and can only focus on the character, to me, that's how it should always be.
