Two weeks from now, I plan on leaving work early. I’ll head to a theater no more than ten minutes from my home. I may change first; I may not. When I get there, I’ll buy a bowl of popcorn and head to my seat - preferably in the front row - and I’ll sit there as long as my backside will allow. I’ll take in a movie or two, maybe three. And the best part of it all? It’s free. The European Film Festival in San Antonio always is.
Last night I stood in a line for an hour or so and ended up sitting in a perfect seat to watch the new Batman movie. I’m not really a big fan of comic books, or even comic book movies, but the last Batman took me by surprise and after seeing the previews I kind of had to see this one…
A few years ago I stumbled upon this video of a guy dancing - if you can call it that - at different places around the world. I was, of course, immediately jealous. Come to find out, Stride Gum paid the guy to travel around the world and dance like a fool. Where can I get a deal like that? The video was called Where the Hell is Matt and you can see it here.
This is just a quick note to say one thing: I love the new Moby CD.
I’m not sure if I have written about the movie Once before. To be honest, I’m not too worried about it. If I have it doesn’t bother me, the movie is so good it’s worth writing about again. So, whether I have said it before or not, I’ll say it now: You have to see the movie Once.
A couple new CDs came out recently which I thought I’d would point out.
The internet is becoming a more powerful tool everyday. I imagine this site I found could be the future of sitcoms. Not in its entirety, but a future way to pitch a show, etc. It’s pretty hilarious. Michael Cera is from Arrested Development and I guess he does the show with his best friend. Anybody could do this…post their show on the web…which makes it so much better.
Check out the site, you won’t be disappointed: Clark and Michael
I can’t believe it, but I’m about to blog about American Idol. This actually makes me feel a little less manly than I did last night when the employee at blockbuster questioned my rental choices. Who says “The Nativity Story” and “What Women Want” are not manly movies?? To be fair, Stephanie was with me, but umm…I guess the movies were my ideas. But just so you know…I did mention Rocky.
So, I went and saw the movie 300 last night. Holy Cow. It was easily the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time. If you haven’t heard of the movie 300 then you’ve probably lived under a rock for the last month or two. I somehow convinced Stephanie to come with me and we bought tickets online to see it opening night at the IMAX theater here. I have to admit, I was a little worried. I had been waiting to see this movie for a long time, and all this week I watched the same trailer over and over again.
